the red violin is a tale of passion, love, history..
it traces the fate of a red violin, travelling through the world from italy to vienna, passing by london and china....
it shows the adventures that occur to the owners of that violin until it arrives to montreal to be sold in auction....
the movie is extraordinarily made and is studied to the faintest detail...
the story might be boring sometimes but true movie fan will be hooked on it.
the movie has an exellent ending which shows the quality of francois girard's directing process.
the music is simply fantastic and has been honored by winning an oscar in 2000.
all actors are exellent and give the movie it's rightfull dimension and depth.
overall, this movie is really one of the best this year and no surprise is has won many awards including best movie in the genie awards....
